Olumide Soyombo is one of Africa’s most prolific early-stage tech investors and co-founder of pan-African VC firm Voltron Capital.
A serial angel, his portfolio spans more than 30 startups, including Paystack, PiggyVest, TeamApt (Moniepoint), Brass, Trove, Mono and Lemonade Finance, many of which are now market leaders in fintech and digital infrastructure.
Through Voltron Capital, he backs pre-seed and seed founders building scalable products across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and North Africa, with over 50 startups funded in the firm’s first fund.
Previously, he co-founded Bluechip Technologies, a leading data warehousing and analytics company, and leverages that operator experience to mentor founders, open doors to enterprise clients, and catalyze follow-on capital into Africa’s startup ecosystem for African consumers and businesses.
