Temie Giwa-Tubosun- Nominated for Entrepreneur of The Year

Temie Giwa-Tubosun is a Nigerian-American health entrepreneur, best known as the Founder & CEO of LifeBank — a pioneering health-tech and logistics company delivering critical medical supplies across Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Her journey began with first-hand exposure to maternal health challenges: during her own childbirth she recognized how precarious access to safe blood and emergency care was in Nigeria.

With this as motivation, she launched LifeBank in 2016 (building on her earlier NGO work) to bridge the gap between supply-system inefficiencies and life-saving delivery of blood, oxygen, vaccines and other essentials.

Under her leadership, LifeBank uses technology and logistics innovation (including motorcycles, boats, drones and real-time inventory data) to reach hospitals quickly and reliably, aiming to reduce maternal mortality and improve health outcomes for underserved communities.

Temie’s work has earned significant recognition: she was listed among the BBC 100 Women in 2014. In 2020 she won the Global Citizen Prize for Business Leader for her impact in health-logistics.
