Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA) is a pioneering non-profit founded by Her Excellency Toyin Saraki, with a mission to improve maternal, newborn, and child health across Africa.
Since its inception, WBFA has been at the forefront of advocating for stronger health systems, safe childbirth, and accessible healthcare for vulnerable communities.
Through initiatives like the Antenatal & Postnatal Education Programme and MamaCare classes, WBFA has trained thousands of midwives and community health workers, equipping them with the skills to save lives during pregnancy and childbirth.
These programs have not only reduced preventable maternal and infant deaths but also empowered mothers with knowledge about nutrition, breastfeeding, and hygiene practices.
As a nominee for Social Enterprise of the Year, WBFA stands out for its holistic approach to healthcare—combining advocacy, education, and service delivery.
Its work continues to shape policies and empower families, making it a leading force in driving sustainable health outcomes for women and children in Africa.
