Stand to End Rape (STER) Initiative is a leading social enterprise and advocacy group committed to ending sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Nigeria.
Founded by Itoro Eze-Anaba, the initiative has grown into a strong voice for survivors, challenging societal stigma while pushing for stronger policies and legal frameworks to protect victims.
STER provides holistic support services, including free legal aid, counseling, and medical referrals for survivors of sexual violence.
The organization also runs awareness campaigns across schools, communities, and online platforms to educate Nigerians about consent, gender equality, and the need to break the culture of silence around abuse.
In 2024, STER expanded its reach by launching a digital reporting platform that enables survivors to safely report cases and access immediate support.
The initiative also partnered with law enforcement agencies and civil society groups to strengthen Nigeria’s response system to SGBV, ensuring cases are not only heard but acted upon.
