Silas Adekunle is a Nigerian-born robotics engineer and entrepreneur who first gained international attention as co-founder and CEO of Reach Robotics, the company behind MekaMon, an intelligent gaming robot that combined robotics with augmented reality.
Reach Robotics secured distribution partnerships (including with Apple) and significant venture backing before the company wound down; Adekunle subsequently pivoted to education and research through Awarri, focusing on building African talent in AI, robotics and STEM.
He is known for bringing advanced robotics into consumer and educational spaces and for advocating skills and infrastructure development for next-generation engineering talent in Africa.
