Shuttlers is a Nigerian mobility startup designing tech-enabled mass transit services to bring order to chaotic urban commuting.
Without owning vehicles, it partners with bus operators and leverages a mobile app to sell scheduled, ticketed seats on fixed routes offering reliability, safety, and predictability for daily commuters. By early 2025, it deployed 20 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses, achieving a 29% reduction in rider costs and cutting fleet emissions by 23.5 metric tons, underscoring its commitment to eco-conscious expansion.
The company has grown its fleet to over 190 air-conditioned buses, serving more than 2 million trips across 85+ routes and 2,400 bus stops.
This scale reflects its traction among urban professionals seeking affordable alternatives to informal transport. Backed by a $4 million funding round from Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures in 2023, Shuttlers continues bridging the gap between informal mobility and fleet-grade reliability.
Blending operational efficiency, sustainability, and user experience, it is transforming daily travel for Nigeria’s working class.
