Sesor Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of emergencies, with a special focus on internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable women in Nigeria.
Since its inception, the foundation has worked tirelessly to provide relief, rehabilitation, and long-term empowerment for those whose lives have been disrupted by conflict and disaster.
At the heart of Sesor’s work is its Women’s Livelihood Support Program, which equips displaced women with vocational skills, seed funding, and access to markets to help them rebuild their lives.
In 2024, the foundation expanded its initiatives, empowering over 2,000 women across Lagos and Benue states with training in tailoring, catering, and small-scale business development.
This has translated into sustainable income streams for families who were once dependent solely on aid.
Beyond empowerment, Sesor runs targeted education support programs for children of displaced families, ensuring that the next generation is not left behind due to the impact of displacement.
The organization also partners with local and international stakeholders to advocate for better welfare and inclusion policies for IDPs across Nigeria.
