Morenike Molehin – Nominated for Business and Impact of the Year at the MOI Awards

Morenike Molehin, born on May 5, 1989, in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, is a Nigerian entrepreneur, designer, and media personality. 

She is the founder of Oak and Teak, one of Nigeria’s growing interior design and furniture brands, and the convener of the GWR (Grow With Renny) Conference, a platform that empowers women to pursue purpose and balance career, faith, and family.

Morenike is the eldest of three children born to Bolajoko Abiodun and Olubunmi Ganiat Odutola. She attended St. Anthony Nursery and Primary School and Dansol High School before earning a degree in Industrial Mathematics from Covenant University in 2009. 

She later obtained a master’s degree in Financial Mathematics and Computation from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.

After completing her studies, she worked briefly with ExxonMobil and later became Managing Director at Newer Heights Limited. 

However, her passion for creativity pushed her to start her own company. In 2013, she founded Oak and Teak, a design firm known for transforming residential and commercial spaces with a mix of simplicity and luxury. For four years, she juggled her 9-to-5 job with her business until 2017, when she resigned to focus fully on her brand.

Under her leadership, Oak and Teak has grown into a respected name in the design industry, serving clients across Nigeria and other African countries. 

Morenike is also deeply committed to mentoring young women through her initiatives, including the GWR Conference and The Complete Woman, both aimed at helping women grow in business, personal development, and spirituality.

Her work has earned her several recognitions. In 2023, she won the ELOY Award for Entrepreneur of the Year. 

The same year, she was listed among the Top 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria by Leading Ladies Africa. In 2024, Gabi Magazine named her among the Top 100 Career Women in Africa.
