Iyinoluwa Samuel Aboyeji (born March 28, 1991) is a leading Nigerian entrepreneur, investor, and ecosystem builder, best known for co‑founding Andela and Flutterwave before launching Future Africa, a pioneering venture platform that provides capital, coaching, and community to mission-driven innovators across the continent.
Aboyeji’s journey began while studying in Canada, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo and St. Jerome’s University.
Early on, he co‑founded the education startup Bookneto, which shaped his understanding of product-market fit, resilience, and learning.
In 2014, he co-founded Andela, an engineering talent network that connects African software developers with global companies; and in 2016, he co-founded Flutterwave, a payments infrastructure company that has become one of Africa’s fastest‑growing fintech businesses.
In 2019, Aboyeji co-launched Future Africa, serving as General Partner. Under his leadership, the firm has backed more than 100 early-stage startups across sectors like healthtech, cleantech, edtech, and digital infrastructure.
Through Future Africa, he combines financial support with mentorship and a strong, values-driven community to help founders scale impactfully.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Aboyeji has also engaged in public service: he served as Deputy Director-General for Oby Ezekwesili’s 2019 presidential campaign.
In recognition of his work, he has earned several honors, including being named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and receiving Nigeria’s Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Aboyeji also founded Itana (formerly Talent City), which aims to build a “digital free zone” in Nigeria, a special jurisdiction for digitally native businesses and entrepreneurs.
