Eyitayo “Tayo” David Oviosu is a distinguished Nigerian-American entrepreneur renowned for his pioneering role in Africa’s fintech landscape.
Before launching his own venture, Oviosu served in strategic roles at Deloitte Consulting and Cisco Systems in California, followed by leadership at Travant Capital Partners in West Africa.
In 2009, he founded Paga, a mobile payments company with a bold vision, universal digital access to money. Under his leadership, Paga has transformed the financial landscape, digitizing transactions, banking, and payments for millions.
The platform’s reach now spans millions of users, thousands of agents, and has earned global recognition.
Oviosu’s work has not gone unnoticed. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year (West Africa) by CNBC and received accolades such as the Outstanding Growing Company of the Year in Africa by the African Leadership Network.
A passionate advocate for financial inclusion, he also co-founded Kairos Angels, supporting visionary entrepreneurs across the continent.
