Folasade “Sade” Balogun is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Redbrick Homes International Ltd and Amen City Ltd, the developer of the landmark residential scheme Amen Estate near Eleko-Lekki, Lagos.
With over 23 years in Nigeria’s real-estate sector, Balogun has been credited with helping transform what was once considered fringe land into a premium residential address, her first project at Amen Estate was launched in the early 2000s in an area then regarded as outside mainstream Lagos-urban zones.
Balogun holds a BA (Hons) in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife).
Her career includes a stint in the UK with Esstech Ltd and Esstech College before returning to Nigeria to launch Redbrick Homes.
Known for her mantra that “real estate is about people, not concrete”, Balogun prioritises creating safe, sustainable and community-driven environments rather than simply constructing buildings.
Her developments at Amen Estate feature tarred roads, tree-lined streets and leisure amenities—an effort to raise the standard of living in areas previously overlooked.
Beyond her business, Balogun supports educational initiatives and mentorship programmes for up-and-coming developers, reflecting her belief in legacy over short-term gain.
