Kemi Adeosun is a British-Nigerian chartered accountant and reform-minded public finance leader. She served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance (2015–2018) after a successful tenure as Ogun State’s Commissioner for Finance (2011–2015), where she helped strengthen budgeting, cash management, and revenue administration.
In Abuja, she championed tighter public-finance controls, broadened the tax base, and supported systems that curbed leakages and improved transparency across government.
Regionally, Adeosun was elected Chair of Afreximbank’s Board of Governors in 2018, reflecting continental trust in her stewardship of trade-finance priorities.
In the social sector, she founded the DashMe Foundation, which mobilises resources for vulnerable children, survivors of domestic violence, and persons with disabilities.
A graduate of the University of East London and SOAS, she is a member of ICAEW and ICAN. Her record of service and impact makes her a strong choice for this honour.
