Omoni Oboli is a distinguished Nigerian actress, script-writer, film director and producer who has made significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood).
Born in Benin City, Edo State, and hailing from Mosogar in Delta State, Oboli completed her primary and secondary education in Benin City, then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages (French) from the University of Benin.
She later sharpened her skills in filmmaking with a short digital-editing course at the New York Film Academy.
Her career began in 1996 with the film Bitter Encounter and, after a hiatus, saw her return in 2009 in films such as The Figurine.
